Job Summary

Under the direction of the Administrator, the Pre-Awards Grants Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of pre-award funding proposal development and submission. This individual will work with Hektoen client agency principal investigators/project directors and Pre-Awards Staff to develop proposals for new and existing projects in a broad array of disciplines, such as create and submit proposal documents (narratives, budgets, etc.)

 

Responsibilities

  • Working with PI/PDs to develop strong and fundable program plans in response to requests from funding entities or in response to a developed need in a client agency.
  • Working with PI/PDs to develop effective administrative and  fiscal structures to support proposal submissions
  • Serving as lead contact to PI/PDs throughout the funding proposal development and submission process.
  • Coordinate with Pre-Awards Staff in their designated tasks.
  • Maintaining effective communication to facilitate workflow between Pre-Awards Department and the other Hektoen Departments.
  • Working together with marketing developer to establish new relationships with potential clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor  Degree  in health-related area or  5+ year experience working in Grants Administration
  • Experience developing, managing, and leading group projects

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary groups and projects
  • Excellent research and documentation skills, including knowledge of computer tools for public health research and source citation
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet programs
  • Ability to manage complicated projects on tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
