Job Summary

Under the direction of the Administrator, the Pre-Award Grants and Marketing Developer will be responsible for generating new revenue for Hektoen Institute by identifying and developing relationships with prospective Project investigators/Project Directors (PI/PDs) and potential funding sources.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities of growth and develop strategic marketing plan to expand business in grants and other services, in a broad array of disciplines.
  • Search for potential new grants funding opportunities by expanding network-based outreach via direct communication and/or through the Internet.
  • Develop a work plan to establish networking relationships between new funding opportunities and potential new or existing PI/PDs.
  • Act as advisor of proposal development to guide PI/PDs through the process to produce a competitive and successful application.
  • Be the liaison   between PI/PDs and Pre-Awards Grants Manager to initiate proposal development process.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in health-related area preferable , and /or business,  liberal arts
  • 5+ years progressive experience in business development, grant writing, and/or grants management
  • Experience developing, managing, and leading group projects
  •  Networking  business profile required
  • Experience in grants writing  with several different funding  sources

 

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary groups and projects
  • Familiarity with fundraising and grant writing fields
  • Proven ability to network with a diverse array of business and community-based contacts
  • Strong verbal and communication Skills
