Research Symposium

The Hektoen Institute organizes a yearly research symposium to highlight the work of prominent John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital researchers.

On March 18, 2008, the Hektoen Institute hosted its first research symposium on the topic of Serving the Underserved. Mardge Cohen MD, Audrey French MD, and Ashok Singh, PhD presented their research and programs designed to treat HIV infected/at risk women in Chicago and Rwanda, mortality among women with HIV, and new stem cell research that could help reduce the health disparities gap.
