Important Rates

 

rates_120Rate Hektoen uses to calculate indirect costs:

  • 38% of salaries and wages for federal funders, effective September 1, 2010
  • 10-20% of total costs for local and state agency funders
  • 25% of total costs for pharmaceutical research
  • 12% of total costs for pharmaceutical funded patient education.

Effective September 1, 2011 fringe benefit rate for staff employed by Hektoen:

Regular Full time 39% fringes: Employee works at least (32) hours a week. This includes Social Security, Medicare, Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment Insurance, Long/Short term Disability Insurance, Life Insurance and eligible for Retirement plan, plus Health and Dental Insurance.

Regular Part-Time

a) 18% Fringe: If an employee works at LEAST (20) hours a week, but LESS than (32) hours a week ,then the fringe rate is 18% inclusive of Social Security, Medicare, Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment Insurance, Long/Short term Disability Insurance, Life Insurance, and eligible for the Retirement plan.

b) 10.75% Fringe: if an employee works LESS than (20) hours a week, then the fringe rate is 10.75% inclusive of Social Security, Medicare, Worker’s Compensation, and Unemployment Insurance.
