Project Firstline

Project Firstline (PFL) is a partnership between the CDC, the Illinois Department of Public Health, and The Hektoen Institute that aims to provide engaging and effective infection prevention and control training to frontline workers, staff, and members of the public health workforce.

 

About Project Firstline

Project Firstline provides innovative and accessible infection control education for all frontline healthcare workers – so they can protect their patients, their coworkers, and themselves from infectious disease threats in healthcare.

Project Firstline offers educational resources in a variety of formats to meet the diverse learning needs and preferences of the healthcare workforce. Resources are designed using adult learning principles, educational best practices, CDC recommendations, and the science that informs them.

Request a Hektoen-led Project Firstline Training Session

Healthcare facilities can request a Project Firstline training session for their staff to be led by one of Hektoen’s experienced Infection Preventionists!  Simply fill out the PFL Request Form and send the completed form to Shannon.Calus@Hektoen.org to begin planning your training session.  This service is provided for a limited time at no cost to all healthcare facilities in Illinois.  Choose your training topic from the available course materials listed below.
